Conservation and Storage

Conservation is how you preserve your collections for future generations. Good storage is a vital part of this process.

Advantages of Conservation and Storage:

  • Proper conservation and storage will increase the  lifetime of your objects and consequently the value of your collections.
  • Singapore's climate is extreme, so your collections need extra care: high humidity and temperatures, combined with strong sunlight, abundant pests and pollution can cause serious damage if not managed properly.
  • Packing your objects for long-term storage can also help ensure that your collections are preserved.

Our services include:

  • Cleaning and basic repairs - on paper, documents, photographs etc. - using archival quality conservation materials such as acid-free document repair tape.
